Amazon Connect
What is Amazon Connect?
Amazon Connect is a cloud contact center service. It is offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) and lets organizations run voice and digital customer service channels without managing on-premises telephony hardware.
Amazon Connect provides core contact center building blocks in the cloud: telephony, chat and other digital channels, routing, contact flows, queues and reporting. Organizations configure it through a web console and pay based on usage, which makes it straightforward to add capacity for seasonal peaks or new teams. Because it sits inside the wider AWS environment, it can connect to other AWS services for storage, analytics and AI.
Agents usually work in the Amazon Connect Contact Control Panel or in a custom desktop built on Amazon Connect’s interfaces. Many organizations add an agent workspace on top so agents can see customer context, CRM data and knowledge in one place instead of switching between tools. When evaluating an Amazon Connect deployment, buyers typically look at channel coverage, how the agent and supervisor experiences are delivered, and how it integrates with existing business systems.
