Screen pop / Application Pop

What is Screen pop / Application Pop?

Through integrations, the agent desktop can automatically display or "pop" screens and applications based on shared enterprise database information. The pop can be triggered by an event or manually achieved with a button-click.

When a call, chat or email arrives, the system often already knows something about it: the phone number, an account number entered in an automated menu or the web page the customer was viewing. A screen pop uses that information to open the right customer record, case or application automatically, so the agent sees relevant details the moment the interaction starts instead of searching for them.

Screen pops depend on integration between the contact center platform and business systems such as CRM, billing or order management. They can fire automatically on an event, such as the interaction being answered, or be triggered by the agent with a button. The benefits are shorter handle times, fewer errors from manual lookups and a smoother start to the conversation. Teams usually judge the effect through handle time and how often the pop finds the correct record.
